I’m in agreement with Industry experts that the Fourth Industrial Revolution is going to change the world, similar to that of the Third, Second and First industrial Revolutions. The only difference is that this one is going to happen quicker. The Fourth Industrial Revolution will question what we value as humans, shocker I know!
Various projects and operations fail due to the lack of sufficient amount and good enough data. Poor decisions lead to poor outcomes and these are usually made based on “gut feel” and emotions. Often today, gathering data isn’t the problem as we seem to be generating way more than we know what to do with through standard day to day operating alone. The challenge is to analyse the data, put it into context and be data-driven when making decisions. Today, it is people who are employed to gather, analyse and present information in ways which mean something.
Global Manufacturing is currently going through a technical revolution which has become known as “Industry 4.0”. There is an increasing focus on smart factories and intelligent manufacturing systems that have a greater integration between the physical and digital processes, thus creating “Cyber-Physical Systems”.
We’d like to sincerely thank you for joining us on this journey to evolving the fourth industrial revolution. Whether you are currently operating in the manufacturing industry or not, your job and day-to-day life are likely affected by the limitations and inefficiencies within the relevant supply chains.
